"BUILD-A-BOOK READING WORKSHOP"
READING FOLDERS
If your child is pulled for reading instruction in SRP(Supplemental Reading
Program)or KIP (Kindergaten Intervention Program), a "Build-A Book Reading
Folder" will be assigned to your child for the Home Connections Program.
Reading Folders will go home on Thursdays and can be returned on Wednesdays,
however, please try to be no later than Thursday so that I have time to put
new materials or a book in the weekly folder. When your child returns their
KIP/SRP Folder, I will replace the inside of the folder with new materials
such as a leveled reader, and sometimes a short written-response assignment.
Regretfully, SRP books not returned or lost will need to be paid for within
14 days of a written notice, so that these books can be replaced for other
students to use throughtout the year. When books are found and returned at
a later date, a full refund will be given. *Special rewards are given
periodically, for all students that bring back their folders and books
enclosed on Wednesdays, the day they are due.
Please Note: Parent-Student information, permission forms or your child's
assessment results will not be in this Reading SRP Folder but will instead
be placed in your child's classroom Friday Folder in an enclosed envelope.
