Dear Parents,
Today, we STARTED our Graphing Project. The children completed a survey, gathered data, and formulated a Tally Table, Frequency Table, Pictograph, and Bar Graph in class today. If the children want to include a Pie Graph and/or Horizontal Bar Graph they may for EC. The children made the graphs by hand today and were told to put it in their homework binder so it won't get lost. The week after Thanksgiving, I will want them to make a final product either by hand or on the computer of all of the data for a grade. I am also going to give them Brain Buster points. They have seen examples of Graphing Projects and many are VERY excited to get started so get ready if they tell you the HAVE to do it tonight. That is not true. If you do want to do it with them though, then that is ok, too. :)
