This is my 27th year as a second grade teacher. My husband and I
grew up in Friendswood, went to school in FISD and KNOW that
it is a great place to raise children. We have raised 2 sons and are almost
done raising a third son. My 2 oldest sons graduated
from Friendswood High School with honors. They attended Texas A&M
University and both married wonderful girls who graduated from A&M, too.
(WHOOP!) My oldest son is the youth pastor at our church, Friendswood
Friends Church. His wife has her own dance academy called Chara Christian
Dance, where she teaches. My middle son and his wife are both in
graduate school. My youngest son is in the 12th grade at Friendswood High
School with hopes of attending A&M after he graduates from FHS.
The subjects your child will be studying this year are Reading, Language,
Spelling, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I value having your child in
my classroom. When your child is with me, be assured that they will be
loved and taken care of to get the best educational experience I can give
them.
My goal is to have your child loving to read, expressing themselves
through writing and learning about themselves and how they relate to
the world around them. We will be working throughout the year on the
following character traits RESPECT, CARING, TRUSTWORTHINESS,
FAIRNESS, RESPONSIBILITY, and CITIZENSHIP as we work together in
the classroom to get along with one another.
Together, as parents and teacher, we will help make this year a
success for your child!
