*May 28th is a school holiday.

*May 30th Kindergarten classes will walk to Old City Park to celebrate the last day of school. This is also an early dismissal day. We usually dismiss at 12:40 on the last day. (This time could change.)

*Tuesday please wear red, white and blue.

*Please return all home readers.
DRA/PAPI reports are in your child's KIT.  Please sign and return.

Weekly Notes:
* We will have PE on Tuesday of this week.  Please wear tennis shoes. 
* Please pack a healthy snack that they can eat with their hands.  No messy chips, cookies or candy
*Please return all library books.  We will not be checking out again this year.
This is what we are working on this week:
Phonics:   -review our short  and long vowel sounds
Reading(Big Book):  Grandpa Grandpa
Math: -review all math concepts
Social Studies/Science: ocean and summertime
Things to work on at home:
*After reading home readers, your child should be able to respond to questions about the story and retell the story in sequence and with some detail.  Some of your home readers have questions in the back of the book.
*Practice writing first and last names
*Practice writing simple sentences. Mix up the sight word cards and find words to make a sentence.
*Practice counting to 100
