**Friday, May 25th is SPLASH DAY for 3rd graders.
Reading Workshop: This week we will continue reading Charlotte's Web in class and completing many activities related to this novel. I am using this novel to do an end of year review of the reading skills we've worked on all year. Much of the focus this week will be on character development, compare and contrast, fact and opinion, vocabulary development, and responding to literature. Also, students should have their Book Club books finished by this Thursday!
Writing
Workshop: Students will continue working in their poetry bare books.
Grammar Skill: This week we are focusing on possessive nouns.
Spelling: This week we will have a Spelling Bee Review using the words we've learned this year.

Monday - Read book club book; bring $ for Pony Outpost Store
Tuesday
- Read book club book; bring $ for Pony Outpost Store.
Wednesday
- Read book club book - DUE TOMORROW!!
Thursday
- Bring Splash Day Stuff -- Wear sunscreen, swimsuit/cover-up; bring: change of clothes and shoes, water toy, towel, and water bottle; LABEL EVERYTHING!!!
Friday - Have a great, long weekend!
Handwriting: We are really working hard on cursive! Please practice at home with your child!
