If I receive an e-mail from you, I will answer it as quickly as
possible. Since I travel from
class to class, you might find it easier to leave a phone
message for me. I will continue
being an inclusion teacher this year. I find it exciting not
only to see what is happening in
regular education but also to see the increased
self-confidence as well as the academic
growth of inclusion students. Most inclusion students grow
socially and academically
from the experience. They love being included. Our goal at
Cline and throughout the
district is to meet the needs of all students in their regular
education classrooms most of
the time instead of meeting their needs in pull-out settings.
I can see the benefit to
inclusion students, and they are happy to be with their
regular ed. peers. Last year
students benefited from the regular ed instruction on reading
and math strategies. This
year students will only take the reading TAKS test once. No
retakes will be given to
students who were not successful passing the reading test the
first time. I will be a
co-teacher in your child's regular ed. classroom and look
forward to helping your child
reach his educational goals.
