Is there homework for inclusion students?

Yes, your child will complete the same homework assignments as 
the other students in his classroom.  If homework needs to be 
modified, I will do this. Students will be exposed to regular ed. 
concepts.

How do I communicate with parents?

I communicate through this website, the student's planner, and 
through phone calls.  If you contact me, I'll get back to you as 
soon as possible.  Also, I will be happy to e-mail you if you 
provide me with your address.

How do parents communicate with me?

You may set up a conference through the office at (281)482-1201, 
e-mail me, or leave me a note in your child's planner.

What goals will my child be working on?

Inclusion students will be working on the goals determined by the 
ARD committee at their annual ARD meeting.  They are exposed to 
all regular ed concepts.

What types of changes have been made in special education this year?

Our district is embracing full inclusion.  Special education 
teachers and para-educators are going into regular education 
classes most of the day and meeting the needs of all students.

Is there any content mastery?

No, there isn't.  Students have their needs met in regular 
education through inclusionary personnel.

What is inclusion?

Inclusion involves having a certified special educator or para-
educator go into the regular education class to modify the 
regular education curriculum and provide special modifications or 
assistance as needed.  The goal is for every child to meet his 
full potential.
