| The Supplemental Reading Program, or better known as "The Tree
House Reading Club", has 19 second graders and 26 third graders as of
March, 2008
Students are enjoying the monthly reading themes. Our theme for March
is "March Into Reading!"
Parents and students are taking note of the new bulletin board in the school
entry way entitled, "Every Child a Reader". The monthly theme posters are
displayed there as well as a parent reading information table. Parents can
pick up booklets and other information on supporting their child's reading
achievement.
Third Grade students have been working hard on sharpening test taking skills
to be ready for the March 5 reading TAKS test. They put 22 tips on a ring
and took them home on Friday, February 29. We have our favorites such
as, "Don't answer too fast" and "This is not a memory test".
