| Welcome to Spring!
The second grade classes at Cline continues to learn dances and music related
to the season. We learned the lyrics and a game to the song "Shoo Fly."
On March 21 in the year 1685, the composer J. S. Bach was born, so we are also
learning about the life and times of J.S. Bach. In honor of his birthplace we
are also learning the song "Mein Hut" which means "My Hat" in the language of
Bach's birthplace, Germany. Listen and learn the words from your child. The
students will be bringing a worksheet titled, "Thinking About Bach and Me."
Discuss what they wrote. Please review the comparison between the Bach as a
child and your student. You will have a fun time discussing life then and now.
