What do I do if my child is absent?

Please send a note to school explaining why your child was absent on the day
your child returns to school. I will send a list of missed assignments
home, and your child has one day for each day absent to complete the work.

How much time should homework be taking?

Homework in third grade should be 30 minutes or less. If the children are
studying for a test, it may take a little longer. Even if they don't have
an actual "worksheet", they do still have homework. Each night your child
should be reading for about 10 minutes, practicing math facts for about 10
minutes, and practicing spelling words for about 10 minutes.
