| Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. Homework
assignments will remain brief but relevant to the subject matter
introduced in class. The main purpose for sending home this folder is
to teach students how to become responsible for their own work and
materials.
Your job as a parent is to CHECK your child's homework and initial in
both boxes whether the homework was completed and whether your
child practiced math facts EVERY night!
A homework grade is given on the report card. It is not counted as a
"behavior" for the behavior book if they forget to return the homework. It
WILL go in my gradebook. The grades for homework are as follows per
9 weeks.
**0 times forgotten=E on report card
**1-4 times forgotten=S on report card
**5-7 times forgotten =N on report card
**8 or more=U on report card
Monday--Spelling list will come home and is to be kept at home.
Tuesday--Some kind of spelling assignment.
Wednesday--A math worksheet will come home.
Thursday--Study for spelling test.
Friday--Library day! Return library books. Bring Friday Folder home and
return it on Monday.
**Please remember to check your child's assignment sheet and
homework each night and initial in the box to verify it has been
completed. Please, also, initial under "math facts" to verify that your
child has studied facts in some way (i.e. computer, games, roll dice,
cards, etc.).
