Friendswood has been my home for 10 years. I am blessed with two wonderful,
incredible children and a energetic, supportive husband. We stay very busy
with church activities, choir concerts, FHS theater, and many other fun
activities.
My daughter, Frances, is a graduate of Friendswood High School. She is a
college student and instuctor for the Pasadena Memorial Color Guard.
My son, Colin, is a junior at Friendswood High. He was
very involved in Odyssey of the Mind for several years. As State
Champions, his team traveled to International competitions in Baltimore,
Maryland in 2001 and 2004; Boulder, Colorado in 2002; and Ames, Iowa in
2003. I thoroughly enjoyed co-coaching his team. Colin spends a lot of
time working with/in the FHS theatre department. This year he hopes to
become an Eagle Scout. He also enjoys singing and playing guitar.
Besides all the kids' activities, my husband and I love to perform
with our band Herman and the Dearhearts. On holidays we travel and spend
time with our extended family. And if there is a free moment you would find
me reading or working/playing outdoors.
I love children and it seems that I have always been singing or playing
with them and teaching them. Our class could be nicknamed Sing 'R Us!
It is has been said that happy and safe children
who feel good about themselves will learn to love learning.
This is my goal for the children.
Another favorite of mine: "Imagination is more important than knowledge."
Albert Einstein
I believe that you can nurture creativity.
