What's the difference between student ID's and wristbands ?
Students must wear a Mustang wristband at all times while on
campus. Students will not be allowed into class without their
wristband. Students must have their student ID on their person at
all times. Students who do not wear their Mustang wristband
and/or have their student ID on them are subject to disciplinary
action. If a student does not have their wristband, then the
teacher will issue a new one and the student will owe a $1
obligation. If a student does not have their student ID when
asked to present it, then they will be printed a new picture ID
and charged a $5 obligation. Students who have two or more ID
violations will lose exemptions.
What's the tardy policy at Friendswood H.S. ?
When a student is tardy for an unexcused reason, they report to
class. For the first 3 tardies to a class, no immediate
consequences. For the 4th tardy to a class the teacher will
notify the office. Consequences may be assigned at the 4th and
any following tardy. Time for these consequences must be done on
campus. Every 3 tardies to a class will be recorded as an absence
when determining final exemptions and denial of credit. Students
who are more than 10 minutes late to class will be considered
absent.

What does a student do if they miss classwork ?
Every teacher is willing to help a student make up as much work
as possible that was missed because of an absence. It should be
kept in mind, however, that a student could not completely make
up a day missed from school, regardless of the willingness of all
persons involved. It's the responsibility of each student to make
up work missed because of absence. They should talk with the
teachers to find a convenient time at which this work may be
done. A student has as many days to make up work as they were
absent( max of 5 days ). Otherwise, no credit will be given for
the assignment in question. Work assigned prior to an absence is
due upon return. However, work will not be called for the day the
student returns if they were not in school for the assignment.
Teachers will make long term major assignments with a designated
due date. When this is the case, students must make arrangements,
even if absent the date due, to have the work turned in to the
teacher by 3:45 P.M. the afternoon when due. Occasionally
students will miss class due to school business. Since these
absences are usually known and scheduled in advance, students
should make up work prior to missing. If this is not possible,
then students must be prepared to turn in the missed assignment
upon return to class.
What happens to a student who misbehaves in class ?
The following consequences will occur to students for
inappropriate classroom behavior.
1st discipline referral : 3 D-Halls
2nd discipline referral : 1 Saturday D-Hall
3rd discipline referral : 5 days assignment to ASC
4th discipline referral :10 days assignment to ASC
5th discipline referral : Suspension for 3 days
Severe clause : Serious misconduct may result in a
penalty more severe than stated above.

assigned to ASC for just that class period and not for the entire
day.
