I am beginning my twenty-fifth year of teaching Spanish.
Prior to teaching in Friendswood, I taught at Sylvan Hills Jr. High
School (North Little Rock , Arkansas), at Tuckahoe Middle School
(Richmond, Virginia) and at Deer Park High School (Texas).
I had the pleasure of studying at the Universidad de
Valencia-Spain during my junior year in college. I realize that the
only way to learn a language well is to have to speak it. My students
will be called upon to speak Spanish at every opportunity.
I am passionate about Spanish and my hope is that you learn to love
it as much as I do.
Students are encouraged to use Spanish for communication during
each class session and as a life-long goal. Students will read, write,
listen and speak using the target language. It is also of utmost
importance to understand the different aspects of culture in the
Spanish-speaking world.
