Good things. Students will - voluntarily - tell the class things they did over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Art 1, 2, 3, 4 & A.P. ART STUDENTS
This is the final project for all levels of art and count for three weeks worth of grades as well as a final
grade.
Students will begin to discuss what art project they will do for the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Art
Competition. They must use sme tye of original picture that they or a friend or family member has
taken. IT CANNOT BE ANYTHING FROM THE INTERNET OR OUT OF A BOOK DUE TO COPYRIGHT ISSUES.
The subjectmatter must be scenery or situations that relate to Texas - old barns, horses, cows, rusty
plows or tractors, bluebonnets, cowboys or any farm animals that can be raised in Texas. It csn also be
some type of western still life that they can set up with our still life objects - skulls, boots and cowboy
hats. Students may chose whatever media and style they wish to do this project. This is due before
Christmas vacation.
On Tuesday there will be Power Point presentation of previous western artwork from winners of
previous years.
Art 1 - Students will finsh up their watercolor paintings and hand in for a grade.
Art 2 - Students will finish up their acrylic paintings and hand in for a grade.
Art 3 - Students will finish up their Chuck Close portraits and hand in for a grade.
Art 4 & A.P. Students - They will also work on their rodeo art projects.
