Make Up Work

IF YOU ARE ABSENT:
Because daily grades are based on class participation, students who are
absent from class must make up their work with a written paper about
any dance-related topic. Days not made up will result in lost
weekly participation points.

Make-Up Assignment:
Summaries of dance articles found on the web, summaries of
magazine articles, a narrative essay about your previous dance experience or
a specific dance experience are all acceptable topics. Dance
magazines are available for student check out in the dance room.

Length:
Make up papers must be one page in length, and may be hand written
or typed.

School Related Absences:
School-related absences do not need to be made up. Please communicate in
advance that your absence is school-related to avoid any confusion.

Extended Absence:
If you are absent for several days in a row, your instructor will assist you
with a make-up assignment. You should also find a classmate
to help you catch up on the section of the dance that you miss. You
may also work with a friend or aide during the warm-up and technique
portions of the class in order to catch up more quickly. MAKE SURE YOU ARE
PRO-ACTIVE AND ASK SOMEONE FOR HELP!!!!
