I am a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in
Business-Management. I worked in the Business World for 8 years
before going back to school to get my Education Certification. I will be
starting my 15th year at Friendswood High School. I am currently a
Varsity Assistant and Freshman Football Coach, and Head Girl's Softball Coach.
I have also coached girl's and boy's basketball, and boy's
soccer at Friendswood. I currently teach the Math of Models with
Applications, Algebra 1, and have also taught Geometry. I have been married
for 10 year's to a wonderful wife(Heather). She is currently working in the
Pasadena School District at Frazier Elementary as a Special Ed Peer
Facilitator. We have 3 wonderful children Brianna 8, Aaron 5, and
Andrew 4. They keep us on our toes right now, but are a joy to our lives. We
also have 2 wonderful dogs, Nicholas and Kody, both of them are Samoyeds! I
love the outdoors camping, fishing, hunting, swimming, etc.
These are course's I really enjoy teaching. In the Math of Models class it
allows the students to build on what they have learned from Algebra and
Geometry and apply it to problem solving in the real world such as personal
finance. Activities are done so that students can use mathmatical concepts
that will help them understand why that particular decision is used to solve
real world problems that they may confront later in life. Current and
revelant data along with technology will also be used in order to investigate
a higher
level of learning. In Algebra I we will be giving students the necessary tools
that they will need throughout their Math classes here at FHS.
