At home, rinse the shirt in warm water (with gloves) in order to remove the unreacted dye and the sodium carbonate activator. After rinsing for a few minutes, remove the rubberbands and rinse longer. Rinse until the water runs clear. Set the washing machine on the HOT setting and add 2 Tablespoons of mild detergent such as Dawn or Joy. Dry the shirts on the hottest dryer setting.
