Grading Scale

BCIS/Multimedia

Grades will be weighed as follows:
  • 60% Test - Testing days are Monday and Tuesday
  • 20% Daily Assignments - graded assignments or screen checks*
  • 20% Quizzes

*Screen Checks - in order to be sure your student is progressing in the course and learning the material, we regularly take a "screen check" grade.  Those grades consist of ten (10) assignments.  Each screen check grade is worth ten (10) points.  After ten (10) assignments, equally 100, the grade is entered into the grade book.

A screen check grade is graded on a sliding scale.  The more errors in the assignment the more points taken from the total of ten (10).  The lowest grade for a completed assignment will be a four (4).  If the student does not complete the assignment at all, they receive a zero (0).  These screen check grades will appear in the grade book indicating the dates of the assignments.
