Hi! This is my 12th year as a high school speech teacher and my 10th
year at FHS. My degrees are in English and speech from Stephen F.
Austin State University. I love teaching and strive to create a
positive atmosphere where my students can excel. Classes are
structured in a way much like an office setting. My philosophy about
education comes from Dr. Donnya Stephens, a professor of education
at SFA: "Teaching is a bowl of raisins: Raisin' curiosity, Raisin'
awareness; therefore Raisin' grades."
I coach the competitive speech team at FHS and am always looking for
new
competitors. Our team is young and full of energy and could be the
niche
you're looking to fill at FHS. There are prequisites that you must meet,
but if you're interested, come talk to me.

Comm App: For my students to overcome their fear of public speaking
and learn to effectively communicate both socially and professionally.
Debate: For my students to be as successful in life as they are in a
speech round. For my students to learn critical thinking skills,
argumentation, and debate theory.
