I have been enjoying sharing my knowledge and experiences for 18 years with
students across the country.
I taught in Hereford TX. for 6 years, then in a small school in Wyoming. for
2 years, our family then moved back to Dumas TX and I taught high school
there for 3 years, we then moved to Friendswood 8 years ago and have been
involved with many student projects.
I teach the following classes at FHS:
Introduction to Engineering=IED
Civil Engineering and Architecture= CEA
Engineering Design and Development= EDD
These are Project Lead the Way classes, which is a national effort to give
students a pre-engineering curriculum that will lead them to success if they
wish to pursue any area of engineering in college.
I also teach:
Technology Systems= an introduction to many different areas of technology.
Problems and Solutions in Technology, for students who want to dive deeper
into the areas of technology.
The Technology education dept has several student organizations for you as a
student to be involved in.
They include:
Technology Student Association
Robotics Club

I have a beautiful wife named Mary, who is the second TSA advisor for
Friendswood TSA. We are also the Texas TSA contest directors, so we keep
busy and love to help kids succeed. Along with her contest directors duties,
Mary was voted as Corporate sponsorship cahirperson by the Texas TSA board
of directors this summer, see will be completing her BS Technology Education
this year and we hope to be teaching together at FHS next year.
We have 2 wonderful daughters that are involved and help with all
activities as well. Without the support of my family I would not be able to
give my students what they need to be successful.
I enjoy Friday night football games and the outdoors. My favorite things are
good Bar-B-Q, and woodworking, I like to create beautiful things from
nothing.
It is my belief that Technology education brings everything that the
students learn in "CORE" classes to life with fun and hands-on application.
