Welcome back!!!
This Fall marks my 9th year at Friendswood Junior High. I began my teaching career in Friendswood
after graduating fromTexas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. I continued
my education by completing the masters program at UHCL in Education Leadership. While I am one
of the Athletic/Conditioning teachers for 7th and 8th grade, my other roles at FJH include the Girls
Athletic Coordinator and a coaching track.
My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed living in Friendswood, it is such a great community! We are
ecstatic to call Friendswood home! Our 6-year old daughter begins 1st grade this year at
Westwood and we know she will have the time of her life! We are also expecting another girl late
November!!! Due to this pregnancy, I will not be in school till January. Amy Fritts will be my sub till
then and she is amazing!!
I am very excited about this year! My goal is for your child to gain an appreciation for physical fitness
as a life long habit!!!
Our program is designed to help students learn the importance of being "Fit
for Life"!!! We participate in numerous activities which we hope will interest our students to
do on their own on a daily basis. Wellness is also a component in our program focusing on the
mental gains of having a physically active lifestyle. We hope you can be supportive in our endeavor
and help at home with healthy diets and encouraging physical activity!!!!
