I have taught English/Language Arts for 21 years, with eighteen of those years spent at FJHS. I hold a
BA in Literature and a MA in Humanities (graduate degree concentration areas in creative writing and
philosophy). I'm the mother of three lovely grown children--two sons and a daughter.
I'm also the proud, doting grandmama of three adorable grandsons.
The primary goal for each class that I teach is to help students develop the necessary reading, writing,
speaking, listening, and thinking skills that will enable them to become effective communicators. I
hope to show all my pupils that writers provide glimpses through windows to other worlds and ideas,
showing us what it means to be human.
