Below you will find our school and classroom policies and procedures. Contact me if you have any

* Attendance**
State law requires that a student be in attendance at least 90% of the time that a class is offered.
If a student does not meet the attendance requirement, credit will be denied. Every 3 tardies that a
student accrues to a class will be recorded as an absence when determining final exemptions and
denial of credit. Students who are more than 10 minutes late to any one class will be considered
absent.
**Grading and Late Work Policy**
Grading:
-Daily Work/Homework- 20%
-Labs/Quizzies- 30%
-Test-50%
Late Work:
1st day late: -30 pts
2nd day late: -50pts
For Pre-AP:
1st day late: -50pts
2nd day late: No credit
**Tutorials**
My personal tutorials will be held on Monday and Thursday mornings.
**Homework**
Homework is assigned on an as needed basis. Homework will usually be activities, which may
include, but are not limited to, reading the material covered in class, studying for tests or quizzes,
completing worksheets or chapter reviews from the book, or completing projects started at school.
**Science Fair**
Science Fair Projects (3 options this year) will be required for Pre-AP classes. Science Fair Projects are
not required this year for regular science classes. However, students can participate if they choose
to. The information for each option for Science Fair can be found in the Documents section of this
website.
**Syllabus**
My syllabus can be found under photos/documents. Please review with your child and print, sign and
return the last page to me. If you need a hard copy, just let me know.
