Mission
Technology education is the foundation of building blocks for a future career. Like the pyramids of Egypt a student needs to have all of the essential elements of a good foundation. The building blocks consist of professionalism, knowledge, and the desire to succeed. I want my students to think of my class as their first job in life. I want them to act as professionals, and produce professional work. It is my job to teach them how professionals act in the real world, and inspire them to follow the example. Professionals are on time, prepared, and possess the knowledge necessary to perform the job. It is my job to impart as much of this knowledge as possible to the student so that they are prepared for life. The goal for my class is to learn real life elements that can be applied across many fields of training, and career choice. They need to realize that for many their education is just starting in public school, and that education is a life long experience. Technology has changed all jobs and will continue to change the jobs of the future. I would like to involve the parents of the community in the learning process and give real life examples of how technology has changed their job. Many students will need to attend a school of higher education to pursue the career of their choice. The habits, values, and knowledge that they establish in school will follow them for the rest of their lives. Forming good work habits, attitudes, and knowledge is essential for success in life. Knowledge is one thing in life that can never be taken away from you.
