We begin our study of the Solar System by comparing the size of our planet to
the rest of our Solar System and other suns.....and find that we are so very
tiny. Students will work on Ch. 20 DRW in class, but may have to
complete some of it at home or in extension. We will grade Sec. 1 & 2
Wednesday and Sec. 3 on Friday.
There will be a VOCABULARY QUIZ over Ch. 20 next Tuesday, 5/15 & Wednesday,
5/16

BENCHMARK TEST - May 17 & 18 Students will take a
benchmark over materials covered in the 3rd and 4th nine weeks. We will
review in class next week.
ROCKETS
- We will be building and launching Estes Rockets the week before Memorial Day.
This will culminate our upcoming unit on the Solar System & Space
Travel. Please send $7.50 to cover the cost of the rocket. Checks
should be made out to FJH ROCKET $ or send exact cash, if possible. Each
student will build and launch their own rocket.....a blast! (Pun
intended!!) Please send money ASAP....
