PROJECT: Travel Brochure for Spanish-speaking country
Chapter 1: Adjectives--describing, the Verb Ser (to be), Culture:  Don Quijote

2nd Quarter

Chapter 2: School subjects, Describing Classes, Telling Time, Numbers 31-90
the Verb Ser, Culture:  Spanish Speakers in the US

MID TERM SPEAKING AND WRITTEN EXAM

3rd Quarter 
Chapter 3: Shopping for school supplies and clothing, Conjugating AR Verbs, 
Culture:  Schools in Spanish-speaking Countries
Chapter 4: School Activities, Conjugating Verbs, Irregular Verbs (ir, Estar,
Dar), Culture:  Schools in Spanish-speaking Countries

4th Quarter	
Chapter 5: Shopping for groceries, Ordering Food at a Restaurant, Conjugating 
ER & IR Verbs, Culture: Eating habits in Spanish-speaking Countries
PROJECT:   Restaurant Skit (Group Project)

FINAL SPEAKING AND WRITTEN EXAM

8th Grade Spanish:  You will use the same book and workbook and start in
chapter 6.

Activities:
1.  Learn Traditional, Pop, Techno, Salsa, Cumbia, Rock, and children’s songs
in Spanish
2.  Learn to Salsa dance (February)
3.  Watch Disney movies in Spanish (El Rey León--The Lion King, Historia de
Juguetes--     Toy Story) and also English movies that are related to Hispanic
culture (Selena)
4.  Web site available for Spanish games, tutorial activities, and assistance
with projects
5.  E Coach program to take home and download on computer 
6.  Daily notes & assignment notebook / Open Note Tests
7.  Homework:  Review notes
8.  Pop quizzes, Announced Quizzes, Tests of Language Skills (Listening,
Speaking,
