Meet the Teacher


Welcome to GATE!! My name is Jennifer Camp and I am very excited to have you in my class this year. This is my 13th year teaching, and I hope to make it my best. I have taught 1st grade, 7th grade and have spent the last 6 years teaching fourth grade. Last year was my first year to teach the pullout GT program.  I went to Texas Christian University and still love to go to their football games every fall. Go Frogs!!! I finished my masters degree in 2010 at The University of Texas in Arlington in Gifted Education.

September 2005 I married a wonderful man named Jason and we combined our two dogs and one cat families. We had our wedding reception at the Ballpark in Arlington where we like to watch our favorite baseball team play. When we are not watching sports, I enjoy scrapbooking, working out and spending time with my friends and family.

Mission For The Class

My goal for the students is to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where
they can learn. I challenge each student to work towards becoming the best
student they can be and to learn from their mistakes. Throughout the year we
will not only work on academics but work on social skills and organizational
skills that will hopefully stay with them the rest of their lives.
