About The Teacher
Hello to all the Gattis Gators and visiting friends! I'm Sharia Jefferson and this will be my sixth year teaching second grade. It is my second year at Gattis and I am excited to get started in such a great school community. I am from a small town south of Houston called Angleton, TX. I went to high school there and graduated in 1999. I went to college at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX where I majored in education with a specialization in math. Right after graduating in December 2003, I came to Round Rock to teach in January 2004. When I'm not at the school you can find me in a kickboxing or dance class at my gym. Please feel free to call or contact me by email if there are any questions or concerns regarding your child. I look forward to meeting other teachers, students, and parents of Gattis Elementary.
