I am married and have two daughters that attend school in Round Rock ISD.
My family and I enjoy going to the movies, reading and doing outdoor
activities together. I grew up in Oklahoma and love the Sooners! My
husband and older daughter really love the Longhorns, so it's always a
shouting match at our house during football season.
I started my teaching career in Copperas Cove, Texas in 1986, then moved to
Killeen. I have taught Kindergarten, First, Fourth, and Fifth grades since
the beginning of my teaching career. In 1999, while teaching in Tyler, Texas,
I was certified in Reading Recovery and began teaching students that were
having difficulties in reading. I have also been certified in the Wilson
Reading System which is what I teach to our students with dyslexic
characteristics. I am looking forward to a great year!
