This year will mark my 6th year of teaching! (Time flies, doesn't it!)In
May of 2003, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin in the areas of
Learning Disabilities and Elementary Education. Throughout my college years, I
found my passion of working with students with a variety of abilities. I
taught my first year at the middle school level, working with 8th grade
students with learning disabilities transitioning into high school. The past
four years I have been blessed with the opportunity to work at the elementary
level with students of all grades and ability levels.
Originally from Wisconsin, my husband and I moved to the Austin area after
our wedding in June, 2004. We absolutely love the weather and have put all
our winter supplies in storage. I must admit... I do miss the
fall leaves!
My husband,also an educator, teaches 8th grade math at one
of Leander ISD's middle schools. We are the proud parents of a two children,
BOTH born on Halloween! :)My husband was calculating the odds of two
children on the same day while I was having contractions! Ha! Our daughter,
India, will be four and our son, Ethan, will be two this Halloween. My
family and I enjoy swimming, going on walks, traveling, and simply being
together. :)
My Misson as an educator is to give each student confidence in their
abilities and the support needed to be successful in their time here at
Gattis and beyond! It is this goal that drives me to do my best and reach
each student at their level!
