Thank you for viewing my website. I am very excited about the
upcoming '09/10 school year. I have been teaching at Gattis since I
graduated from the University of Texas in 1994, with the exception of 2
years in the middle at Caldwell Heights.
My experience includes 7 years in PPCD where I had a blast teaching 3 to 5
year olds how to communicate, socialize, and learn in a school environment.
My next 8 years have been awesome and have included teaching kids from K up
to 5th in Resource/Inclusion settings. I have a real soft spot in my heart
for children who need that little extra loving care.
In my personal life, I have been married for 10 years to my wonderful
husband, Blain, and we have 2 beautiful boys, Kade (3) and Luke (2).
We live in our dream home up in Georgetown and enjoy being outdoors,
camping, playing with our boys, and just taking advantage of all the
fun activities Austin has to offer.
I truly love being a teacher and cherish every moment of having the
priviledge to witness kids' eyes light up when they "get it"!
"All" children can and will learn in a loving, safe environment where their
talents and self-esteem are nurtured.
