Information for Parents:
Welcome to our classroom!  This is going to be an exciting year for your 
child, as he/she wraps up his/her years of elementary.  To keep yourself 
informed of our events, please make sure you check my website on a regular 
basis.   http://schools.roundrockisd.org/gattis/  Select “Our Teams” and 
scroll down to my name.

Homework Expectations:   
1.	 Students will have science (green spiral) and/or history (purple 
folder) homework every week.  This will usually entail an activity that 
pertains to what we are discussing in class.
2.	There will be four math problems each week.  Please paste these in 
the math journals (blue spiral), so they won’t get lost.  Students must show 
their work and/or explain their strategy for solving the problem.
3.	Reading logs (red spirals) must be signed each night.  By signing the 
log, you are confirming that your child did read for 30 minutes.  If the logs 
are not signed, the student will miss recess and their grade will be 
affected.  There are two reading responses that must be completed by Friday 
morning.  Students may choose any night reading to use in answering their 
prompt.  This is also taken as a grade.
4.	Agendas must be signed each night, so that I know you are aware of 
any homework, class event or teacher comment.  I check these each morning.
5.	Any unfinished class work is expected to be completed at home that 
night and brought back to school.  (book club reading, DLR, math, science, 
etc…)
6.	Wednesday and Friday Folders.
