My name is Brandie George and I am excited to be your child’s third
grade teacher this year! I’ve got so many fun filled yet challenging learning
experiences in store for your student this year and I can’t wait to get
started.
I want you to know a little about me and my experience. I am from
Sugarland, Texas. I graduated with honors from Texas State University. After
I graduated college, I taught in Houston for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD for two
years. My first year I was an Accelerated Reading Intervention teacher and
for my second year I taught 2nd grade.
After teaching there I decided that I wanted to move back to the hill
country so, here I am today! This will be my 3rd year teaching third grade at
Gattis. I have a certification to teach Gifted and Talented students. I try to
make every lesson as fun and as engaging as I possibly can. I always try to
keep in mind that...if I'm bored, the class is probably bored too. I want my
students to leave my class with wonderful memories and hands on learning
experiences that will last them for a lifetime.
I am finishing up my masters degree in Instructional Leadership
through Texas State University this year. I have held several leadership roles
at Gattis during my time here. Outside of grad school and work I spend all of
my free time planning my wedding. I am a very goal oriented, optimistic,
organized, and fun loving person who truly enjoys teaching!
I am looking forward to this new school year and I can’t wait to meet
you and your child. I hope that we can all work together throughout the year
and create a supportive learning environment in order for your student to be
successful.
Sincerely,
Ms. George
Always do your personal best and have fun doing it!
