I was born and raised in Austin. I graduated from Texas Tech with a BS degree in Human Development and Family Studies. While in college I worked at a hospital in the maternity ward and also talked with pregnant teens. After moving back to Austin after graduation I decided to go back to school and get my Masters in Education. I graduated with my Masters in Education from Southwest Texas University, now known as Texas State University.
I have been married for 14 years to my wonderful husband, who I have known since 2nd grade! We have two beautiful daughters who both attend Sommer Elementary School. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, shop, travel, spend time at the pool or beach, read, and go jogging. In that order! Over the summer I started taking a boxing class and I love it.
I love knock knock jokes, hot tamale candies and anything sweet.
I have been teaching at Gattis for 14 years. I spent 12 years teaching Resource and this is my second year in 5th grade.
