Mrs. Kaufman’s class became Paleontologists this
week. We were
given a chunk of rock.
We then QUESTIONED
what sort of dinosaur or animal might be inside the rock.
Then we made a
PREDICTION as to what was inside.
After that we
PLANNED how we were going to get the
dinosaur out.
We decided to use a screwdriver and we tried many
different ways to pry the rock open.
Some of our ways did not work and we had to try different ways.
Finally we each found a different dinosaur inside
each rock. One
person discovered a kangaroo, and another person discovered an elephant.
We made
DRAWINGS of our discoveries and made
CONCLUSIONS about what was actually
inside.
