What is your Grading Policy?
40% Tests & Quizzes (Tests count twice in this category.)
40% Assignments & Homework (Projects are weighted in this category.)
20% Daily Work
--------------------------------------
What is your Late Work Policy?
For English 8 students, late work is accepted one day late ONLY. Any late
work will receive a -30 point deduction.
For Pre AP English students, no late work will be accepted.
My Late Work Policies are in accordance with the GMS 8th grade policy.
--------------------------------------
What about Make-Up Work?
Students are given the amount of time they missed to make-up any
assignments. So, if you are absent for one day, then you have one day to
make up the work, etc.
It is the student's responsibility to check the calendar in the classroom to
see what work they missed when they were out. If a student has been absent
and is struggling with an assignment, it is his or her responsibility to
come to me before the assignment is due or before turning it in.
--------------------------------------
What happens when my student is tardy?
I follow the GMS tardy policy.
1st tardy - free
2nd tardy - detention
3rd tardy - office referral
If a student is late to class without a signed pass, they will be considered
tardy.
