About Our ClassroomFrequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
On the wall in the classroom are two calendars that list assignments by day. Please carry your planner to the calendar and write the assignments missed in the appropriate space of your planner. If a worksheet is listed, the copies are located in the binders under the calendars. The number of days you are absent is the amount of time you have to complete the make-up work. For example: missing 1 day means the assignment is due the day after you return or missing 3 days means you have three days to complete the assignments. What do I do if I need extra help? If you need extra help on an assignment bring that assignment to tutorials and we will go over it together. Tutorial times are Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:15 to 3:45. You do not have to be invited to attend. You do need to bring your materials and your questions. What do I do if I want to improve a test grade? To improve your test score you may make corrections. Please follow these steps: ON A SEPARATE SHEET OF PAPER 1) Write the problem(s) number you missed 2) Copy the problem(s) you missed 3) Show your work to correct the problem(s) and 4) Give a brief explanation for missing each problem(s). Half credit will be given for each correction that is correct. Do I HAVE to do my homework in pencil? YES! When is Mrs. Landers conference period? 3rd period 9:50-10:40(9:35-10:20 assembly schedule) When is Mr. Naylor's conference period? 2nd period 8:50-9:45(8:45-9:30 assembly schedule) How do I know if my child has homework? Everyday the plan for the day is written on the board. Students are expected and encouraged to copy the homework assignment into their planners (all academic class periods). Please check the planner daily. If you see that your child has a blank planner he or she is not following directions. This is a great communication tool if everyone is doing their part. The homework assignments can also be found under the homework button on the home page. |
