About The Teacher
I'm very excited about teaching at Grisham IB World School! This is my 4th year, and I've really enjoyed my time here. I have taught all levels of French, a bit of Spanish, and even language arts, history, and science in elementary school. After taking 4 languages at the same time in college, I survived and then lived in France, took classes in Mexico, and have traveled all over. My B.A. is in French from Trinity University, San Antonio, and I also did a semester at the University of Strasbourg (France) in their Institut International des Etudes Francaises. After a couple years of work, including a year of social work in Paris, I got my M.A. from UT's Foreign Language Education Center. I went to St Martin this summer with my family, and will try to upload photos for you to see. I will also be taking students to Paris over spring break in 2013. There are several trips planned by teachers at other RRISD middle schools, so let me know if you'd like information about those. I am available before or after school by appointment to either visit with parents or for tutoring.
