Dear Parents & Students,
Hope you have a wonderful holiday!
Please check to see if your child needs supplies.
Many students need pencils, paper, and some need
a new binder and dividers.
Amazon Rainforest projects should be completed over the break.
They should try to complete it except the bibliography which will
be taught when we return by Mrs. Bamford. Please have them
bring what they have when we return to school as I am going to
take them to the computer lab on the first day back so they can
proofread eachothers projects. That will give them the next 3
days to complete the bibliography and make any final corrections
or changes before it is due on Friday 1/8/10 and begin presentations.
Extra copies of the paperwork given is on the "Forms" page of my
Teacherweb and other information is on the "Amazon Rainforest
Projects Page". The next T-shirt order will be placed on 1/12/10.
I gave my students a Guided Reading Workbook.
This is to go home and stay at home unless I ask them to
bring it to school. It is NOT required that they do pages from
the workbook. It was given to them to provide them a study
tool or for extra help in Science if they need it. They can do pages
in it for extra credit but it is NOT required. It tells them the page
numbers the answers can be found on. They can use the online textbook by Chapter and section or by page number.
Please collect Box Tops and turn them into your advisory teacher
or to myself. We collected 4000 box tops last year!
