Science Announcements

Dear Parents & Students,    

Report Cards go home today(Friday the 13th)!

Science Benchmark Next Week!  This exam will cover
everything we have learned since the 1st week of school.
Study PowerPoints on the "Forms" section of my Teacherweb.

Parade of Cultures next Tuesday evening starting at 6:30.
All family members are welcome to see our diverse student
and teacher population.  Come enjoy music, food, and fun!

I gave my students a Guided Reading Workbook.
This is to go home and stay at home unless I ask them to
bring it to school.  It is NOT required that they do pages from
the workbook.  It was given to them to provide them  a study
tool or for extra help in Science if they need it.  They can do pages
in it for extra credit but it is NOT required.  It tells them the page
numbers the answers can be found on.  They can use the online textbook
by Chapter and section or by page number. 
  
Science Fair information will be headed by Mrs. Petkovsek.

Science Fair is OPTIONAL but Extra Credit will be given to those
who complete a project.  Please make sure the project is on grade
level as they will be competing against other 6th, 7th, & 8th graders
at the Austin regional Science Fair.  Paperwork is due 11/20 and the project is due 1/4. 

Please collect Box Tops  and turn them into your advisory teacher
or to myself.  We collected 4000 box tops last year! 
 
Tutorial Times:  Thursdays  7:45-8:15 am
Homework Help:  Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:30-4:30 pm
