TAG! Additional novel study…

Students have been studying the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee.  Upon completing the novel, TAG students are required to choose an additional novel to read in order to flex their literary muscles.  Use the following criteria to select a novel:

Pulitzer Prize winner       Strong symbolism            Similar setting

Importance of education (traditional or non-traditional)

This novel will be used as a comparison to TKAM, so no quizzes are required.  Upon completion there will be a choice of culminating assignments based on the criteria they used for selecting the second novel.

If you need help selecting a book, open up “Suggested reading following TKAM – TAG”  or, “9^th TAG English Extra Credit Reading List” (from the WHS website) in my LA Documents folder!

GENRE STUDY – final project!  DUE THURSDAY, 05/22
