Austin, Texas Casting Call For Paramount Pictures Coen Brothers Feature
Film “True Grit”
Project Title: True Grit
Project Type: Studio Feature Film
Production Company: Paramount Pictures
Shooting Location: TBA
Start Date: Mar 01, 2010
Director: Joel and Ethan Coen
Project Synopsis:
The Coen Brothers are looking for a 12-16 YEARS OLD GIRL to be the lead of
their new feature film, TRUE GRIT.
Character Breakdown:
Mattie Ross – 14 year old Mattie is a simple, tough as nails young woman. Her
steely nerves and straightforward manner are a shocking contrast to the way
women behaved in the early century. She’s possessed of true grit and plenty
of determination. Enough so, that she insists on going with 2 marshals to
hunt down the killer of her father.
NO ACTING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
Looking for REAL (scrubbed-down, no make-up), “gritty” girls! Preferably the
kind that rides horses, gets dirty & speaks her mind! NOT looking
for “theatrical” model types! Rodeo girls (who ride & rope) are best!
Not “actor-like / pageant queens.”
