7^th grade Texas History Grading Policy

August 2008

Texas History classes grade using a point system.  Each student will create a section of pages in their ISN that they can use to help track their assignments and grades.  Parents and students can use RRISD Home Access Center to view current grades..

100 points       Class Work/Homework

100 points       Quizzes

200 points       Multiple Choice portion of Tests

50 points       Short Answer/Essay portion of Tests

300 points       Projects

Students are expected to do their work when it is assigned and turn it in on time.  I do not give extra credit to raise grades. If grades are low, students may come in and rework assignments to accomplish the assigned material.

Late Work: 

Any daily assignment turned in late will receive a grade of no higher than a 70.

Students with excused absences receive time equal to days missed to complete the work.
