I am delighted to be teaching at Grisham this year. This is my 4th year at
Grisham but my first year as classroom teacher. Teaching is my third
career. I enjoy working with middle school students and pursued alternative
teaching certification. As a Communications graduate of Michigan State
University I worked in advertising in upstate New York. Our family has lived
in New York, Connecticut, Florida, Pennsylvia and finally Texas. In the 9
years we have been in Austin I have been involved at Grisham as parent, PTA
volunteer, substitute teacher, Collaborative Teacher Support and now
teaching Texas History!
Our mission as a class will be to gain an understanding of the geography,
people and events that have molded Texas into the state it is today. We
will explore the past and examine the present, connecting and relating what
we learn to the world around us.
