Dear Parents, Guardians and Students
I have had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching last week. Sixth grade teacher, Ms. Colombi and I came back with many great ideas and a better understanding of the science curriculum changes taking place next year. Although our current unit of study will be moved to 8th grade next year, I will continue with my plans to introduce Moon Phases this week. Students typically have difficulties visualizing Moon movements from a position from the universe and from here on Earth. To help facilitate understanding, I plan an edible activity on Thursday. Donations of oreo cookies are welcome and greatly appreciated.
