Dear Parents, Guardians and Students
We must be having fun because I can’t believe we are already half way through this marking period. Most students are adjusting to school life again after the long holiday break. If, however, you notice that your child’s grades are lower than normal on the progress report coming home this week, please remind your child to turn in missing work, organize their notebooks and time wisely and limit socialization during class so they can focus on their lessons.
Currently, we are studying plants. We have studied structures and functions and I have graded some assignments. I noticed that several students are running out of room in their composition books. If you are able to find these books (and glue sticks) when you are out shopping, please buy one (or two) so that the students can make it though the rest of the year. Also, on Thursday, we will be using class time to test the students all day with the district’s Language Arts benchmark. Please have them go to bed early and send a healthy snack with your child to hold them over until lunchtime.
Thank you!
