Grisham Middle School Equipment and Supply List for Beginning Orchestra
Violin Players Need:
Violin and Bow (wooden bow with real horsehair is preferred)
Method Book - Essential Elements 2000, Book 1 and 2 for Violin
Rosin - Dark or light rosin is available (Hill is a very good brand)
Fine Tuners - one for each string
Extra set of strings
Shoulder Rest - Kun model is very comfortable and will last long.
Soft cloth - for cleaning the instrument
Folding music stand - for home practice
Inexpensive metronome/tuner - very helpful for home practice.
