Fall 2007
All 7th and 8th graders are required to participate in the National History Fair
this fall. The theme will be Conflict and Compromise in History. Our school History Fair will
be Tuesday, November 13th. All projects are due in class on Friday, November 9th. Specific
information regarding types of entries, rules, deadlines, guidelines can be found in detail on

There is a free, optional workshop at UT on Saturday, October 6th from 8:30 am – 2 pm that will
help all students to get a firm grasp on their topic for this year, and will provide them with
direction as they begin their journey discovery. The registration deadline is next Monday,
September 25th. If enough students choose to attend, we may be able to provide a school bus or
carpool transportation options. Students who do attend will receive 10 points on their History
Fair Project. We strongly encourage everyone to take part in this opportunity provided by the
University of Texas.
