Grading Policy

7th grade Texas History Grading Policy

2009-2010 School Year

  

Texas History students are graded using a raw point system.  Each student will be provided with pages in their ISN that they can use to help track their assignments and grades. A Table of Contents is posted in our classroom listing assignments and point possible. This information is also available on my website. Parents and students can use RRISD Home Access Center to view current grades.

 

Daily Work 100 points

Quizzes 100 points

Tests / Multiple Choice 200 points

Tests - Short Answer Essay 50 points

History Day Project 300 points

MYP Grades

Level 2 Humanities (7th Grade) will assess all students over each of the 4 IB MYP criteria at least once each semester. Details regarding the criteria are available on the Grisham website.

Missing Work Policy

Students are expected to complete work as assigned by the teacher in a timely manner.

Student receive one day grace period for each day of excused absence (i.e. illness).

Student's are expected to be proactive in determining the work that they have missed when absent- ask!

Students with incomplete assignments will receive a "Missing" grade and will be required to attend

teacher tutorials or Homework Help until the assignment is completed to the teacher's satisfaction of content mastery.

Lack of compliance/completion of work may result in assignment to Saturday Dentention.

Academic Honesty

In keeping with the Grisham policay, any student who is caught giving or receiving work (this includes copying) will have the work taken and receive a zero for the assignment.
