Hi! My name is Karen Van Eaton. I am a 4th generation Texan born in
Huntsville, TX, north of Houston. I have a bachelor's degree in Elem. Ed.
with a minor in Reading and a Kindergarten endorsement, an early
childhood special education certificate from The University of Texas at
Austin, a gifted and talented certificate and an ESOL certificate. I
received a master's degree from Sam Houston State University in school
administration. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I have
taught grades K-7 in Houston, Fort Worth, and Huntsville, TX.
My husband, David is a third generation Aggie and an engineer. We have two
sons. Grant is a senior at The University of Notre Dame. He is in the choir
and majoring in philosophy, theology and German. He plans on going to law
school. Ross is a senior at Westwood High School. Ross plays baseball and
taught my how to record stats in the baseball scorebook. Both boys are
taller than me!
I like to stay busy and enjoy lots of different activities. I play the
handbells at church and I like to work in the yard. I love flowers! I
walk almost every day and work out at the gym. I am highly organized which
at times drives my family crazy. My favorite color is red. I love
chocolate, roses, and jewelry, but most of all, I love KIDS!
